My life’s a miracle.
Each breath I take…each time I wake.
So often I miss it as I rush and I strive;
My soul feels the strain…frantic pace to survive.
I’m distracted from the peace Jesus offers to me.
Distracted by perceptions of what needs to be done;
The miracle of God’s presence is silenced as I run.
So many “good” things put my heart to the test;
So focused on “good” things…I don’t notice God’s BEST.
I cry out to Jesus to come, BE my Peace;
From the pit of distractions bring me your sweet release.
